Digital animation for Scrivens takes Jake's new look viral

When we created the Scrivens family characters in 2014, we knew they were a sight for sore eyes. Scrivens loved that the characters appealed to all age ranges, and could be used to specifically target a new audience.

So when Scrivens wanted to promote eye tests for kids, Jake was the clear candidate. We created a comic strip so that kids could learn all about eye tests whilst in store, with Jake playing the main character. The result was as effective as Jake’s new specs, giving kids a more positive experience whenever they visited. The feedback was tremendous, with Scrivens keen to see what else we could so with Jake; we brought Jake to life!

We knew how well this storyboard would lend itself to a digital animation but with some inspired thinking, we added voice to the script using handpicked folks from the office. Scrivens love it so much that they’ve uploaded the Jake’s new look to their YouTube account for all to see.
